PROJECTS THAT ARE ALREADY FINISHED or PROGRAMMED TO BE DONE BY THE COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF TSAKKISTRA IN THE COMMUNITY.

Below we mention some important projects already finished in our Community over the last years or projects that are programmed to be done aiming to the growth, the progress, the beautification and prosperity of our Community.

Finished Projects:

1. General restoration and maintenance of the Holy Temple of Agios Nikolaos with expenses of Siakolas family.
2. Manufacture of new privately-owned buildings with offices (offices of the Community Council and Health Center, Community Lavatories.)
3. Asphalt covering of all the streets in the village.
4. Manufacture of a water dam that cost more than £1,000,000, having capacity 100,000 tons of water, (is found behind the village at the river Limnitis).
The water from the dam is used for irrigation.
5. Repair and cement covering of all the rural streets.

Programmed Projects:

1. Covering of all the cementitious walls with stone of the region in order to be consistent with the natural environment.
2. Maintenance and covering with stones from the region of the old public taps.
3. Transformation of the narrow passages inside the community into paved streets.
4. With initiative of the Forest Department, some works began for the nature paths called "PANTHEA" which will start from the locality" SELLADIN of PETROS" and lead to the villages of Tsakkistra and Kambos.
5. Creation of Popular Art Museum.
